Bacon Ray

During their stay on this planet, the Ray developed its own brand of high-powered Rock which ran on barley, hops and malt. Originally formed in 1994 by Merlin Mann, Mike Coleman (fresh from Ultraboy) and Chris Gleasman (of Gruel), the group experimented with varying degrees of fermented beverage to get just the right sound. Chris left in 1995 and was replaced by "the Prince", aka Jason Emmett. When drumming juggernaut Bruce Hamilton, also of Gruel, came along that same year to make the group a 4-piece, the now infamous "like a clown car running over your head" sound finally congealed. In 1997, Brent McNeal, from the recently disbanded Frankenfinger, dove in to replace the mysteriously absent "the Prince" (if you know anything of his whereabouts, please e-mail us), and the Rock was delivered. The group unfortunately disbanded in 1999.
